I was delighted to be able to offer my services to Blythe House Hospicecare this year to produce a video commemorating their thirtieth year.
Blimey! Long time since my last blog post. This shot came from a series I snapped in the Buxworth Basin in the High Peak Derbyshire. Love the Fibonacci theme going on here.
A portrait can such a touching gift for Christmas. I now have a studio in which you can have you hair and makeup styled, grab a coffee and have you portrait taken in a relaxed atmosphere.
Alternatively I can visit you at home or even at your workplace.
By all means get in contact and we can discuss the look you are after.
Brilliant to see the Derbyshire Peak District featured as the link from Google’s logo this morning. http://www.google.com
Ideally you will have an out going friendly, fun personality and have at least some experience within the wedding market. You’ll obviously need to have a passion for photography, so an eye for a good shot is essential. A smart appearance goes without saying.
A good grounding in digital photographic techniques is important and you will need to posses a quality DSLR kit.
It goes without saying that you need to be available for weekend work, sometimes working until late at night away from home.
At this stage I am looking for someone who is open to ideas and is willing to work with me to push the business forward. You also need to be on the internet and be aware of the importance of ‘social media’ marketing.
You can be any age, gender, race or orientation but please appreciate that due to the nature of the work you must able to tolerate a whole day stood up.
Hours are not guaranteed and work will depend on bookings. Initially you will be self employed so you will be responsible for your own tax and NI. Own transport would be helpful but not essential, but you must live in the North Derbyshire area.
Income will be on a per job basis, so this role may appeal to those who want to find a source of additional income or want to move towards a full time photographic career. Currently potential earnings are expected to start from £150 per shoot which would vary depending on client requirements.
Whilst a history of formal training would be an asset your creativity and enthusiasm rate far higher to me. My work doesn’t just cover weddings and there may well be opportunities to work on portrait and commercial projects too.
How to apply:
- Provide your contact details including your name and location and email address.
- Write a brief description of your involvement in photography including a brief breakdown of the kit you have (500 words max).
- Take a photograph of someone holding a sign saying “Tester 456”. It can be anyone, even you, but please make it decent, sharp and well exposed. Proportions must be portrait orientation, 500px x 334px @ 273dpi and watermarked with your name on the bottom left.
- Use the form at the bottom of this page http://hopevalleyderbyshire.co.uk/photographeronline/index.php/job-vacancies/
Would you like a FREE solution to your image needs?
For a limited period I am offering a
‘FREE PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICE’
for selected companies, individuals or organisations.
Why am I offering this free service?
I have recognized that in the current economic environment it is difficult for companies or organisations to justify the expense of commissioning photography, especially when a half day of photography can cost upwards of £200.
In addition, I’m always in need of new material to promote my services and whilst my current clients are wonderful, the photography I produce for them represents only a narrow range of my abilities.
I want potential clients to realize that getting quality photography for their business makes commercial sense and that I’m the photographer to provide it.
What does the photography involve?
I will visit your company, organisation or place of work and, on a pre-arranged day, take photographs illustrating what you do or produce. It could be images of you or staff working, product/pack shots or even completed projects.
How long will the pictures take?
I am willing to set aside half a day (4 hours) per shoot. I will then upload the images to a private website where you can review the photographs taken on the day of your shoot (usually within a couple of days).
If you would like any of the images then I am happy to provide high resolution downloads FREE of charge. The only condition is that the images carry my watermark “WWW.PHOTOGRAPHERONLINE.CO.UK”
Alternatively the images can be provided without my watermark as prints or downloads for a minimal cost: 10 x 8 prints £10 each, downloads at £10 each.
Is there any paperwork?
As the deal involves my adding the images to my portfolio I will need a ‘release’ signed, so that I can use the images to promote my work. The release will limit my rights to just that, but will allow you to use the images in printed material on your website or on social media.
Can anyone take advantage of this offer?
My main motivation for this project is to get some great shots, refresh my portfolio and make some terrific new contacts. I am happy for any company, organization or individual to request this service, but please don’t be offended if I turn you down; it could be that you are the fiftieth cupcake company to contact me.
But if you have an unusual idea for an image you want to create then please get in touch.
How long is the offer for?
I’m running this offer for the next few months, but already I am having companies taking advantage of it so you need to move fast.
How far will you travel?
I am happy to travel 20 miles from my base in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire. Beyond this I make a small charge for milage.
So what’s the next move?
Easy, fill in the response form here and wait for me to get back in touch…I’ll look forward to hearing from you.
